If you’re staying around TTDI, Damansara Perdana, or Mutiara Damansara, you don’t need to go far to get your hiking fix. Seriously bro, there are quite a few solid hiking spots nearby, whether you’re just starting out or already used to hiking until berpeluh satu badan. Let me break it down for you — all within 10 to 25 minutes drive.
This one is like the go-to spot for people staying around TTDI. It’s part jungle, part paved path, so you can pick depending on your mood. The main entrance is near the TTDI park.
You can take a light trail for jalan-jalan with your friends, or go all in and climb the steeper paths for a proper cardio burn. Got some parts with nice forest views and even a little hidden waterfall if you explore a bit. But bro, if you go on weekends, better come early — ramai orang.
Not many people know about this one. Bukit Lanjan is like a hidden gem behind Damansara Perdana, near the Emerald area. The entrance isn’t very obvious, but once you find it, the trail gives you that proper jungle feel.
The vibe is quite peaceful, not too crowded, and got a few steep sections. If you want that “I’m in the wild” kind of feeling but still close to home, this is the spot. Just make sure you wear proper shoes, because the trail can be a bit slippery after rain.
This one is quite famous, and it’s just 15 minutes or so from TTDI. Technically it’s in between PJ and KL, so senang to get there. A lot of families and weekend hikers come here because it’s very beginner-friendly.
You’ll find stairs, small hills, a suspension bridge, and a few viewpoints. Not super challenging but enough to make you feel like you did something good for your body. If you’re new to hiking or just want a chill morning, this one memang sesuai.
Around 10 to 15 minutes from Mutiara Damansara, KDCF is another favourite among local hikers. What’s nice is that the trails here are well-marked, got signboards, and are managed quite well. You can come here alone also, no problem — senang to navigate.
Some parts are flat and peaceful, others go uphill a bit. You can hike slow or use it as a trail running spot if you’re into that. Plenty of trees, so the shade helps a lot especially if you go late morning.
This one is about 15 minutes away from Mutiara Damansara. Bukit Sri Bintang is more of a quick-and-easy type of hike. The path is mostly open — not much tree cover — so if you go in the morning, you can catch a nice sunrise view from the top.
Trail is short and suitable for beginners, or if you’re just looking for a short cardio session without committing to a full-on hike. Just bring a cap or sunglasses, sebab memang panas sikit kalau dah naik matahari.
Okay, this one a bit further — around 20 to 25 minutes from Damansara area — but it’s worth mentioning. Taman Tugu is more of a city eco-park than a proper hiking trail, but it gives you that nature fix without going deep into the forest.
It’s very clean, got multiple trails, and everything is labelled properly. Super suitable for those who just want to go for a peaceful walk, maybe to reset your mind after a busy week. Plus, it’s quite safe, so you can come alone or with your kids also no problem.
So bro, no excuse to say “tak ada tempat hiking dekat sini” okay? All these trails are nearby, and each got their own vibe. Some are great for serious workouts, some just nice for lepak in nature.
Whether you’re nak release stress, test your stamina, or just enjoy some forest vibes with your friends, these trails got you covered.
